Semak, in business since 1949 and the long-standing partner of the Oleo-Mac brand in Türkiye, worked with the D-CAT business intelligence team on SAP BusinessObjects solutions to improve its performance.
Challenge
Semak ran two separate systems, SAP BusinessObjects 3.1 and SAP BusinessObjects 4.0, on two separate servers. The goal was to consolidate them and serve users from a single server.
What we did
The project started in July 2015 and was completed by the D-CAT business intelligence team in 5 days.
- Both existing systems were analyzed and checked for compatibility with the new SAP BusinessObjects 4.1 environment.
- Once the installations were complete, the content was migrated.
- System configuration and testing completed the move to BI 4.1.
Result
- The systems on two separate servers were consolidated on one server, reducing hardware, electricity and maintenance costs.
- With SAP BusinessObjects 4.1, Semak gained a faster, better-performing reporting and analysis system.
